3D digital tour

Take a look at some of the rarely seen parts of the building.

What are the tours?

Thanks to amazing 3D technology, you can now view some of the most historically and culturally important parts of our building which cannot currently be seen by most people for safety reasons.

The tour is in three parts - the main building, starting in the exhibition space, the attic chapel, and the Gunter artefacts in Abergavenny Museum - which you can access via the buttons below.

Using the software

The software may take a little getting used to, but here are a few pointers:

When you click into a link, you should see a small menu in the bottom left corner. If you hover your cursor over the icons in the menu, you'll see that they provide different options for viewing, including an automatic tour which you can let run.

Alternatively, you can click directly into the picture and move around the space yourself, either by dragging your cursor or pointing and clicking in the direction you wish to go.

The coloured circular tags you'll see are pieces of information about specific aspects of the house. They may also contain links to other parts of the house which you can click on to move to directly.

Have fun and enjoy looking around!

Who made the tours possible?

We were approached by Start2Finish Project Planning, a company specialising in creating 3D tours for the construction industry who asked if we would like them to create a tour free of charge.

These tours usually cost thousands of pounds, so we are extremely grateful for their gift.

You can see more of their work by visiting Start2Finish Project Planning. They have already created tours of Our Lady and St Michael's Church in Abergavenny and St David Lewis & St Francis Xavier RC Church in Usk.
